Gold’s Gym Opens 11th Centre In Bengaluru

Leading international fitness chain, Gold’s Gym launched its eleventh gym in Bengaluru in the area of Banashankari. The large 12000 sq. ft. gym is complete with equipment from Precor, a Group Ex studio, a Spinning studio and a juice bar. The gym already had 600 members before the start date.
Althea Shah, Vice President, Gold’s Gym India informed: “We are excited to be in Bengaluru for the eleventh time. Gold’s Gym now has 85 operational gyms in India in 42 cities.”

Vivafit Makes A Debut In Lucknow

Vivafit, an advanced fitness centre, made its foray in Lucknow. It also declared opening of four more centres in the city to reach out to a wider number of women and also encourage nutritionists to help women in bringing about a change their lifestyle. The decision to introduce Vivafit to Lucknow was a result of extensive market research. Talwalkars opens health club in Raipur

Health club chain Talwalkars Better Value Fitness Ltd has launched a health club in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. At present, the company has 91 health clubs in 43 towns across India.

Speaking on the inauguration, CEO Prashant Talwalkar said, “We are extremely happy to open our health club in Raipur. This city has the potential to become a major commercial hub and we hope we can spread fitness to residents of this vibrant city.”

Anant Gawande, chief financial officer and whole time director, Talwalkars, said, “With the Raipur opening, we have further consolidated our leadership position in the health and fitness industry in India.”

The company, Gawande said, was looking at aggressively expanding into other cities of the northern and eastern regions, including tier II and III cities. Talwalkars, though, is not looking at expanding through the franchise route.
